Mội liên từ như unless có thể đứng trước một tính từ, cụm giới từ hay một V-ed nhé em. Khi đó ta hiểu là chủ ngữ và động từ BE đã được rút gọn. Khi đó ta vẫn thỏa mãn được quy tắc là liên từ đứng trước một câu.
